Now he’s getting weirder

Filed under: Uncategorized — gayandy @ 5:39 am

The video and first pic is Mike the way he was a month ago.
Recently he’s got really caught up into the whole 2012 thing. He’s convinced the world is going to end on Dec. 21, 2012. Mike thinks he’s going to die in 2012.
Yesterday I watched the history channel with him. He wanted me to see that the Mayans and Egyptians, and Nostrodomus predicted the end of the world would occur on or around the 21st of December 2012. I have to admit it was pretty convincing!

And the following pics is Mike the way he looks today since he started cutting.

Mike came to see me tonight. Me and Mike have been homies (friends) for a long time probably like around 6 or 7 years, and I’ve never seen him like this before. I talked to him about wtf he’s doing to himself and who he’s hanging around with that’s putting all this weird sh*† into his head. I know most of Mike’s friends and none of them look like Mike does now. He told me he got the idea from pics he saw on the internet. Notice in the last 2 pics how his arms are folded across his chest much like the do a body in a casket. I asked him what’s with the RIP cut into his flesh on his wrist? He told me he likes the way it feels. He leaned against the wall and let out some sort of orgasmic sound like he jizzed in his pants or something. He said cutting feels good. I have other friends who are into cutting self mutilation and they told me the same thing, it feels good.

Maybe I’m missing something here, but I can’t figure out how slicing my flesh with a razor blade can feel good??!!

  1. I don't understand it either. It makes no sense whatsoever to me. It sounds like Mike is headed for destruction. I hope you can help him. I also hope curiosity won't lead you to try cutting. I can't imagine you doing that, so please don't.

  2. It is, as I commented before, seeking attention, but that doesn't mean it isn't a bit serious. If so, you need to get some advice – your pastor, again? RIP is intended to scare you, but that doesn't mean he won't do something silly. He's doing his nails black for your "benefit".Are you the person who will listen and sympathise? It's all after he and his girlfriend split up, isn't it? It doesn't sound as though he's getting into cutting through friends.Have you talked to her, or any or his "normal" friends?

  3. its a hard thing to explain. once you start, its incredably hard to stop. i want to cut everyday, but i dont. i cant let myself. is he doing this to fit in or because of stress? if its stress, show him a different way to manage his stress. if its to fit in, well thats not right. i know i must sound like a hypocrite, but its true. email me if you have more questions. its in my profile if you dont have itPeace!

  4. Mike reminds me at the make up Bill Kaulitz of the German group Tokio Hotel had several years ago.You are right with your opinion about slicing the flesh with a razor blade. All your friends who say slicing feels good need to slice themself. Do not discuss with them about the symptoms it will not stop them to do so. It is an illness.Different psychic illnesses, deprivation, experience of a rape, traumatic experiences during puberty, severe experiences of affront or of abasement can be the reason of such a behaviour. They need psychotherapy but you can help them in treating them as you are used to do so.{{hugs}}Rolde

  5. Right so cutting forces your brain to produce endorphins to battle the pain, and this can make you feel euphoric. When you abuse it (and through some behavioral conditioning) you can perceive all this as "feeling good".Its horrible though. Not only are you creating physical scars on your skin that will be there forever (i.e. job interviews will be fun), you are creating a brain problem that will get worse and worse. The pain center in the brain that regulates endorphins is also what is abused in heroin addicts. Thus, its extremely powerful.I hope your friend starts acting like a normal human soon. I think everyone that does this regrets it later. I try to do things that I dont think I'll regret later in life. Growing up is all about figuring out yourself and part of that includes doing stupid stuff that you will wish you hadn't– but its all learning. The trick is trying to only make the mistakes that aren't permanent– dont get the tattoo on your forehead when your 16, dont steal stuff that gets you in jail, dont do drugs that permanantly damage your brain (huffing glue). All of these things are irreversible. You have to give your future self the benefit of the doubt that you might feel different in the future.I wish him luck.Steve

  6. yeah, if you're that needy for a little boost, eat a piece of chocolate… I don't know about this cutting thing (maybe Peter @ philosophies could address this), but, it seems intuitively bad and habit forming, and, not in a good way… I feel sorry for the kids that seem to need this outlet, but, it also puzzles me- maybe it existed when I was a kid, but, I never heard of it, so, how did this become something addictive, if it is being represented accurately?? Who in the heck ever figured this out?? And, I get cut, all the time in the work I do, purely by accident, and, I'm here to tell you that it hurts, and does NOTHING to make me feel exuberant or happy. Go figure. luv, tman<3

  7. Cutting is a complex psychological disorder. For some, it shows with the eyes and the physical sensations the difficult feelings they have inside. Those feelings could include self-loathing, depression, anxiety, shame, etc. Sometimes the feelings are so overwhelming that they have to "go somewhere" and cutting gives the feelings somewhere to go. And that may contribute to their reports of euphoria…it's a relief. It's another outlet like drugs.

  8. So this is the guy who is Emo'd out. And you say that Mike is str8!? He sure doesn't look it. But lots of teens have fun messing around with the way they look (if their parents let them get away with it). These are your years of freedom before you conform to the workplace. So I wouldn't get upset by the Emo look (kinda cute) but cutting is another thing, especially if it progresses. I think it borders a bit on masochism and hopefully it is a phase that will pass when he realizes that it is not a cool thing to do. So tell Mike that trying new looks is ok but the cutting fad is just a little too extreme. Teens have a tendency to get strung out on extremes; one should realize when it is time to swing back to the middle a bit. bfn – Wayne

  10. David sad to say many people who have been abused in their life do cut themselves. Please look this up and if it fits your friend, try to help him. As a boy I was abused and having a friend to turn to would be tremendous help. Hugs, Scottie

  11. I agree you need to do some research into the debunking of the 2012 thing. Check out sites like Mayans certainly didn't predict any such thing as "the world will end in 2012." That is just speculation by people who want to find the end of the world. Superstitious people are more susceptible to believing all this stuff.People have been predicting the end of the world for hundreds of years and no one has been right yet. So I wouldn't be too concerned about 2012.And don't get me started on Nostradamus.
