Arms Were Made For Hugging

And Hands Were Made For Holding

Can somebody please explain to me why this boys video below was flagged by an American Idiot as being inappropriate?

The boy appears to be around 14 or 15 years old, but Youtube wants the viewers of the video to be 18 years old or older.
So you have to be over 18 to watch a boy who is 14 or 15.
Can somebody please explain to me the logic of Youtube requiring viewers to be over 18 to watch a video of a boy who is 14 or 15 years old.

  1. "July 2ndToday I gave a glass of cold orange juice on a hot day to a thirsty street worker."Just one of your Pay It Forward posts that has given us such a lot, and taught us such a lot. We'll miss you, David.

  2. No problem Andy; you are very busy with work, family, and your social life. Computers and electronic media can be very time consuming; lots of blogs have a few days or more between posting. Be sure to get outside when the weather cools off and have some fun with your friends. Knowing that there are young gay guys like you out there gives me hope for the future. bfn – Wayne:)

  4. Dead Easy answer… This guy makes rather good videos.. I have seen one where he flashes his butt together with his friend for about 0.5 milliseconds… Are they Gay ? Who knows and who cares.. But it's definitley a 'NO NO' for religious fundamentalists and those awful evangelical twits that create havoc throughout the world… USA is the cradle of ultra right wing Christian fundamentalism… so it's likely one of those yuks made adverse comment about the boys super videos.

  5. He moons the camera for a split second. Either that, or his mannerisms make him appear to be a homosexual, and being homosexual is inappropriate.

  6. Those speedo boys pics are so hot! (the girl in the background knows that these guys are a lost cause!) You have the body for a speedo Andy, and why aren't you out swimming? -As for the vid; blame hysteria and paranoia over teens' sexuality. bfn – Wayne πŸ™‚ (it has been said by Europeans that the USA has a 'Puritan' hangover)

  8. "So hot?" I would say those speedo boys are likely not even old enough for middle school yet. Reading comments like that, written by adults, really creeps me the fuck out.

  10. I find it extremely offensive that adults must pretend that young people are not beautiful. 'Anonymous' creeps me the fuck out. bfn – Wayne 😐

  12. They're cute kids, and the pictures are very sweet. I think it's wonderful that kids these days aren't so hung up about showing affection; when I was their age, two boys hugging like that would likely get them harassed mercilessly or beat up. I was allegedly seen holding hands with a male friend when I was 11 or 12. I honestly don't know if it really happened, or if it was just another lie made up to hurt me. Regardless, I was taunted about it for quite a while (the other boy was not class scapegoat, so he was not teased, as far as I know).Your comment, though, wayner, crossed the line. You didn't say they were "beautiful," you called them "so hot;" there's a big difference. To put it another way, if I was the parent of one of the boys, and you said my kid was cute, I'd thank you; if you said he was hot, however, I'd make sure you didn't get anywhere near my kid, or any other.

  13. Sorry 'anonymous'; you don't set the lines for me to cross and I won't be judged by you. And I won't be slandered by semantics. And the boys are 'hot' for someone their own age, not me. So take your self righteous attitude and your witch-hunt elsewhere. – Wayne

  14. If you make comments that give the strong impression that you're turned on sexually by kids, you can expect negative reactions.

  15. I was reading your blog yesterday and it broke my heart! You were talking about your sk8er shoes that you were going to give your little "bro" and you said that you were not going to give it in his present to him because it had holes in them. So i got to thinking that you need a new pair of shoes. THIS IS NOT A JOKE!! I dont want anything out of it but just the satisfaction that i helped someone out. THIS IS NO JOKE! So if it is ok with your parents i would like to give you money, for a new pair of shoes (Please limit to $75.00) THIS IS NO JOKE!! Now you are thinking that i will have to know your address to send you the money for shoes? Not at all.We can work out the details if you accept. THIS IS NO JOKE! Lets say i like to pay it forward!

  16. I find the discussion about the lads in speedos being "hot' and 'beautiful' quite interesting. Certainly all children are beautiful-beautiful because of their innocence and uncorrupted nature. I think it's more legitimate to say these are 'hot' pictures. The age of the boys would indicate that they are beyond puberty. The hugs shows that they appear to be uninhibited enough to show affection in public. It could be as simple as that or it could be far more erotic. There is this awful tendency today to accuse anyone who points out the obvious to be a 'perve'. I have a female friend-a photographer who recently held an exhibition of teen boys (waist up only) on the verge of puberty. She was lambasted by the media (one was of her own son and all the parents of the lads in the 20 pics purchased the photos and were more than happy for their kids to pose). The very idea of her exhibition was to show developing sexual attractiveness in teen boys which society today seems intent on pretending doesn't exist. The new conservatism seems to decree that a young person is completely asexual until the age of 18 at which time sexual urges kick in on the dot of their birthday. It is possible to express a belief that a youngster is very sexy looking without actually wanting to get them into bed. One should read Germaine Greer's book on this subject where she examines how throughout history various communities have at times been very open about aknowledging youthful sexual attractiveness (in an intellectual manner) without necessary wishing to actually treat a male as a sex object. As to the particular photos-I see them as a tad erotic yet I have actually no interest in the subjects sexually as my preferred age group is the mid-20's!. But I can still recognise sexiness-even in females.

  17. So obviously something happened between you and Rike, Andy. Remember the feelings pass eventually..I think we can read between the lines by looking at the pics (the keyboard !). Forgiveness is hard but makes you a much stronger person. That doesn't mean you forget and let your guard down. Treachery from a friend is very hard to take, but treachery is never rewarded.
